The Studio: Pixel Park is a portrait studio and portrait park, all in one. In the studio, you’ll get a timeless, professional portrait that will last a lifetime. Out in the Portrait Park, you’ll have fun taking a casual, creative portrait by the pond, fountain, wooden bridge, wagon wheel, swings, or in the forest trail that weaves all around the park.
About The Photographer: I began learning about photography in my high school journalism class. We used all manual film cameras and a dark room to develop our images. Learning on film forced me to “get it right” the first time. All through college I took photography classes, but majored in business. Photography was just my creative outlet, I never dreamed of making it my profession. Then in 2004 I had my baby girl. I took her to the mall for her first portraits…it was one of the worst days of my life! She was crabby, the mall was crowded, my husband looked at me as if I were torturing our new baby! A few hours later we had some ok pictures of a red faced, teary eyed baby, and a large bill to pay. When it was time for her 6mo pictures, I did it myself! Then friends asked me to take their baby pictures, then friends of friends, and so on. In 2008, I opened Pixel Park portrait studio on my family’s property in Mustang, Ok. I thank my daughter for giving me the courage to get out of the cubicle and follow my heart to what I do best, creating beautiful images.
A Message from the Photographer: Thank you for visiting my webpage. Like many of you, I am a busy working parent. I know how hard it is to coordinate schedules and make time for things like haircuts, dentist, and family portraits…yes, I get it! Taking a family portrait can feel like another appointment on your to do list. That is why I started Pixel Park, I wanted your experience here to feel more like a day at the park with your family than another appointment to keep. A typical photo session here includes time to stroll, play, relax, and of course smile. I look forward to meeting you soon. Sincerely, Wendy Reed
